Water / Wastewater

The City of Tipp City provides water and sanitary sewer services to about 4,000 customers. The City owns and operates three water towers, two of which contain 1 million gallons and one which contains 350,000 gallons.

Water Treatment Plant

Our water is provided through Northern Area Water Authority (NAWA), a joint venture between the Cities of Tipp City and Vandalia. Tipp City staff operates the water treatment plant and Vandalia staff provides the day to day financial management of the plant.

Wastewater Treatment Plant

Tipp City along with the City of Vandalia and the City of Huber Heights jointly own and operate the Tri-Cities North Regional Wastewater Authority (TCA) to provide sanitary sewer services for all three communities. The three cities employ a general manager to oversee the day-to-day operations and maintenance of the plant, under contract to a private company, while also utilizing existing finance and public works staff to advise the manager and joint operating board.

Economic Rates

These joint ventures with neighboring communities allow us to provide these utility services at the most economical rates possible. The Annual Water and Sewer Rate Survey for Southwest Ohio (PDF) indicates that Tipp City is one of the lowest water and sanitary sewer providers in the Dayton area.
