The City of Tipp City is seeking interested citizens to serve on the following Boards:
Board of Zoning Appeals
The Board of Zoning Appeals is a 5 member board that hears and determines appeals from administrative decisions, petitions for variances, and hardships which would prevent the reasonable use of land. The Board meets one time per month on the third Wednesday of the month at 7:00 PM.
Restoration and Architectural Board of Review
The Restoration Board is a 7-person board that meets at 6:30 p.m. on the fourth Tuesday of the month. The Board reviews requests for Certificates of Appropriateness from owners of property within Tipp City's Historic District.
Tree Board
The tree Board is a 3-person board that meets at 5:15 p.m. on the 2nd Wednesday of even months. It shall be the responsibility of the City Tree Board to study, investigate, and counsel; develop or update annually, and administer a written plan for the care, preservation, pruning, planting, replanting, removal, or disposition of trees and shrubs in parks, along streets, and in other public areas. The plan will be presented annually to the City Council, and upon their acceptance and approval shall constitute the official comprehensive city tree plan.
Community Reinvestment Area Housing Council
The Community Reinvestment Area Housing Council shall make annual inspections of properties within the community reinvestment area for which an exemption has been granted under R.C. Section 3735.67. The Community Reinvestment Area Housing Council shall also hear appeals under R.C. Section 3735.70.
Cable Access Commission
The Commission meets on the fourth Thursday of each month at 7:00 pm at KIT-TV studios at 4 ½ E. Main Street. To determine the type of programming to be permitted, reviews specific programs, and otherwise maintains primary responsibility for the local access station. Members are appointed by City Council for 2 year terms expiring April 30th.

Citizens who wish to be considered for any Board or Commission must complete an application and submit it to Janice Bates, Clerk of Council. Applications are available online at www.tippcityohio.gov or at the Government Center located at 260 South Garber Drive, Tipp City.
