City Selects New Water Tower Logo

Tipp City Council has selected the logo that will adorn the new water tower scheduled to be constructed in 2010 near the high school off of Donn Davis Way and the existing water tower west of I-75, upon its renovation. The logo selected by Council recognizes the historical significance of the Mum Festival and pays tribute to the "Pride of Tipp Mum", which is the newly adopted official flower of Tipp City.

This $2.4 M project is funded by $700,000 in Ohio Public Works Commission (OPWC) grant funds, $400,000 in a 0% interest, 20-year OPWC loan, a $75,000 OPWC grant for capitalized interest, and $1.2 M in debt issued by the water fund. The project involves the replacement of the circa 1931, 350,000 gallon Bowman Avenue Water Tower with a new 1.0 M gallon water tower near the high school, the refurbishment of the existing 1.0 M gallon water tower, and the demolition of the Bowman Avenue Tower.
