Tree Board 


The City Tree Board consists of three members who are residents of the city and are appointed by City Council. Members of the Tree Board study, investigate, and counsel; develop or update annually, and administer a written plan for the care, preservation, pruning, planting, replanting, removal or disposition of trees and shrubs in parks, along streets, and in other public areas. This plan is presented annually to City Council, and upon acceptance and approval it constitutes as the official comprehensive city tree plan. Meetings are held on a quarterly basis at the Government Center.

Tipp City is a member of Tree City USA. The goal of Tree City USA is to improve tree planting and tree care throughout the United States. The organization provides direction, technical assistance and public recognition for urban and community forestry programs. Members meet on the 2nd Wednesday in of the even months of the year at 5:15 p.m. Members serve three-year terms expiring December 31st.
