The City of Tipp City will be accepting applications and conducting testing to establish an eligibility list for the entry-level Police Officer position. This is a Civil Service position with a starting wage of $25.97 per hour and includes a comprehensive benefit package. Applicants must be 21 years of age on the date of the examination and must be a high school graduate. All applicants must take a physical fitness test. Applicants can choose to test on either Saturday July 8, 2017 or Sunday July 9, 2017. Testing will begin at 8:00 a.m. beginning with the physical fitness test. The fitness test is scored on a pass/fail basis as outlined in the Application Packet.
Those Applicants who successfully pass the physical fitness test must then complete a written examination conducted at 12:00 p.m. the same day.
An application packet is available on-line at www.tippcityohio.gov in the Employment section of the website or may be obtained at the Tipp City Police Department, 260 S. Garber Drive, Tipp City, Ohio daily between the hours of 8:00 a.m. and 10 p.m.
The completed application, together with all other documentation specified in the packet, must be returned to the Tipp City Police Department no later than 4:30 p.m. on July 6, 2017. Applications submitted after that date and time will not be considered. The Police Department lobby is open from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. Monday through Friday and from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Saturday and Sunday.
