Yard Waste
By Ohio law, yard waste cannot be placed in landfills. As a result, Waste Management and Tipp City have created a yard waste program where special lawn bags can be utilized to dispose of residential yard waste. The lawn bags can only be purchased at the Tipp City Government Center or Food Town ($1.75 each).
All lawn waste should be placed in these bags and then set out for pick-up on Mondays, from April through November. For yard waste pick-up December through March, please set the bags out on your regular refuse pick-up day.
If the yard waste does not fit in the bag, but is no more than 2 feet in diameter and 4 feet long, it can be placed for pick-up with a lawn bag attached to the bundle.
All yard waste is composted by Waste Management as is not deposited in landfills in accordance with state law. If you have further questions regarding yard waste pick-up, please call Waste Management at 866-695-3433.
